I have a Scubapro Mk17/G250/S555 set and two Apeks ATX200 sets that I use in the rotation. I also have a Scubapro Mk11/G250/S560 awaiting new hoses and servicing before I place into rotation. I'm leaning more Scubapro nowadays, and the Apeks sets will most likely get shelved.

I took the Titan down to the folks at my LDS, but they don't service Aqualung. They pointed me towards Scuba Gear Service in Tomball, Texas. I emailed for a quote for servicing the Titan including both R190s, and the reply came back totaling $245.

With the Mk11 coming into play, I'll sit on the Titan for now. It's definitely a nice flex option with all my extra parts in the bin.

If you were looking at taking or sending your reg set to Tomball for service, then give Chris at Dive Zone Scuba a call, (832) 444-5063, he is in Pearland.

I called Dive Zone Scuba as you suggested, but only reached their voicemail. So I opted for email, and they replied that they do not service Aqualung or Scubapro. Chris's name was not on the reply, just "Dive Zone Scuba" as the signature.

I appreciate your assist.

Sorry that didn't work out. Chris and his wife own Dive Zone Scuba, and Chris uses the shop name as his username here on ScubaBoard...@divezonescuba.

I know they sell and service Mares but thought they serviced other brands like Aqualung.

The only other shop I am familiar with out that way is Woodland Dive Center off the I-45 in Spring (just outside of the Woodlands). They are a Scubapro dealer/service center but I have no idea what their prices are. If I recall correctly, the owner's name is Gary. (281) 367-6664. I am not sure but they might also service Aqualung.

Do you have the regulator as DIN? I did an eBay search for DIN conversions for the Titan but scored zero. I'm thinking the conversions are probably hard to come by.

DIN conversion kits for the older Titan are like hens' teeth, especially since that version of the Titan 1st stage has been out of production for a number of years.

I called Woodland Dive Center and talked to Tyler. He quoted a price of about $200 to service my rig.

Then I tried Scuba Adventures in Plano, Texas and got a quote of about $185. I learned that the R190 parts kits cost $18.70.

The list of options grows! And when options exist, life gets better!
