I'm fairly inexperienced but since I've moved to Hawaii I plan to dive more in the near future. I'm putting together a set of gear and am trying to decide on what reg to get.

I'm considering either the Aqualung Titan LX, or the Scubapro Mk11/Mk17 with either R395 or S555.

I don't have any immediate plans for a pony or doubles, but I like the idea of redundancy and in a year or two may well want to move to that kind of system. Are any of the regs I listed above better or worse for that application?

Any other general advice?

Either will work well for your needs.....My preference is for a balanced 2nd stage with a cracking pressure adjustment in this application so also look at the G250, Zeagle and Apeks/Aqualungs with this feature.
