The Titan is the newer name as Aqualung is. The Titan was the US Divers JM Cousteau. Which with a enviro seal is a great reg. You can't go wrong you already been told about only 1 HP port. If it's not a factor go for it.

WOW! What an experiment man!!! I would have bet my money that the Titan would freeze up faster than the SP if you did that. Do you have the Titan LX Supreme? If you have that then I am not surprised because it is designed for cold water diving.

Just the regular old Titan LX.

The AL Titan and Titan LX (including Supreme) are different second stages. The LX and Supreme have the same second stage best I can tell as the Legend. It is a compact and lightweight unit that is easily dissassembled. The Legend LX gets a metal beauty ring that could be installed on the Titan LX since they are the same. If there are minor differences I don't see them. I have had both at considerable depth and just breath exactly the same for all practical purposes. You can install a Y block from DiveRite to split the HP for a transmitter and spg, something I have no interest in. I also like the simple and compact first stage, good hose routing for singles diving and not as heavy in the bag as the Legend. I have the Legend rigged with yellow Legend octo that came free with it on standard yellow 40 inch hose as delievered from AL. My wife uses the Legend. I have the Titan LX for myself rigged with two matching black LX seconds, one on a 5 foot hose and the other on a standard hose for experimental purposes. I also dive it with a 40 inch hose and right angle connector on the 40 inch hose under the arm. I breath the long(er) hose (Hog style), my wife breaths the short hose (standard ocot set up). Frankly, I rarely use a single hose but that is another story. I actually bought two Titan LX for use on independent doubles and just share them around to each other. Good luck with your choice. N
