Hey folks
Working on my magnahelic and I find that the rubber band seal fits into the mouthpiece quite snugly on the c370 which had a wider mouthpiece than the s600 with a smaller mouthpiece. Inserting the seal into the mouthpiece of the s600 results in a a fold in the seal with an air gap. Trying to stretch the tight rubber-band seal over the rim of the mouthpiece on the s600 is a real frustrating struggle like trying to wrestle an anaconda with your fingers… any tools and techniques I can use to make it slip over effortlessly?

Edit: Just managed to seat it on the s600 by carefully angling it in and around the mouthpiece instead of jamming it inside. Now if I want to ensure an airtight seal on the other regs with wider mouthpieces - how can I slip it on from the outside without a struggle?

I never do it "inside" the mouthpiece, always outside/over the mouthpiece. If it is a tight fit, put it in hot/warm water and then try again. I never had a problem fitting it over any mouthpiece out there. It looks that it is very tight on the white plastic piece too.

Thanks! Hot water … why didn’t it occur to me ! An extra reason to put it on the outside is to avoid touching the flow vane when inserted …

Where are those seals from? The wall thickness is way beyond what I have or have ever have seen on others...
