Anybody have any tips for installing loop covers? I just spent the better part of an hour putting one on, it was hell and it’s still not all the way on yet.

And that was the easy one without the HUD!

Mate nail one end of the hose to your house the other end to your car and drive forward about a yard
Do you have those plastic bread bags like when you put a wetsuit on
But stop if the house starts moving

Soak it. Stretch with a car as noted previously. Put it in the oven at 375F. Bake for one hour. Remove. Let cool. Throw in the trash. Forget that you ever thought you needed one in the first place.

Use one with Velcro along the edge.

Or pre stretch the loop to reduce the diameter

Soap water can be useful.

What loop cover do you have? My Tough Loops cover was quite tight. I compressed the hose, then pulled on the cover. Took less than 1 minute per loop part.

String mesh is best, the one that stays wet forever around the base of your tank inside the boot

I removed the connector on one end, the clamped it and stretched it as far as I was comfortable and slipped it on, it wasn't 'impossible' but it did take some time.
