Dessicant and fan for drying rebreather loop

Desiccant beads sound smart for longer term storage. I think gun people do that too. Probably even more effective than heating rods etc (store in a 'cool, dry place?')

Don't spill thousands of them onto the floor like I did, they don't sweep well (now double mesh bagging)

Can 'recharge' the desiccant beads in the oven warming drawer

If we're talking ridiculous builds why not make a "lung" which simply attaches to the mouthpiece and has desiccant in it to pump air around the loop?

Like a dedicated vacuum cleaner on blow slow, not gunna do it but I like it

I can dry the inside of my drysuit with a single computer fan (low noise 4" that doesn't move much air) ducted through 1½" pvc will dry the inside of my drysuit after washing it. A little airflow will do wonders without adding other complications.

The Desiccant bill might turn into the most expensive part of maintaining the rebreather. The stuff is for picking out water vapor, not liquid drops.

A dehumidifer in the basement with the loop hoses hanging nearby would be more useful than a rube goldberg CCR drier

Would fans blow additional dust and spores into the loop etc? Does it need to be HEPA?
