Tipping on Cozumel

Heading down to Coz for the first time this week. Not concerned about how much to tip the dive crew as that is my own decision. However, How do you know if you will be diving with the same crew all week; I will be with the same DO all week. I prefer to tip at the end of the week, but if we keep changing crews, then it would be better to tip daily. Do you know in advance if you will have the same crew all week (not counting days off etc.)?
Also since I am flying into Cancun and taking the ferry over, I've read about the guys with bikes to help with your luggage. My dive bag alone will weigh 60+ pounds, although my other checked piece and carry-ons will be much less, should I figure on the $2-3/ bag that I would use in the states as a tip? and do these people charge for this or just work on tips. I'm thinking I will need some help between the Bus station and ferry in Playa as well as on the Coz side, between the ferry and my hotel. I appreciate all input, Thanks, DD

I tip daily. You never know.

The airline might make you pay extra for that 60+ lbs. bag. I've seen passengers charged $20 over 50lbs. and then after 100lbs a hundred $$$. Check their website and be prepared. I stick to 50lbs a bag by putting dive lights batteries and other small but, heavy dive items into my clothing bag. Two bags are checked and then I max out their rules for carry on.
