I'm looking at a layover of 50 minutes between flights on the way to Roatan from Washington on TACA (next fall). Flight arrives at 7:45 AM and leaves at 8:35 AM (Saturday). I'll have one checked bag.

This is assuming the in flight is on time.

Anyone done this? opinions? The flight cost (Syracuse to Roatan) is about $440 (incl taxes) - sweet!

TACA = San Salvador... they own the place.

It will be fine.

As always... MARK YOUR BAGS WELL

Make up your own baggage tags, secure THREE to each bag you check.

List your Name, Passenger Identifier, Airline Flights, as well as your final Roatan destination.

Do this for anywhere you travel off the beaten path.

Did that flight three times, no problems. If you have the same connections through San Salvador that my wife and I had going back to Washington, the connection is also tight and if there is a delay in the flight comming into Roatan you may miss your connection. We did two out of three times. Not to worry TACA takes good care of you, first rate hotel, food and transportation.
