SwimsWithSharks:
Tom,

Sorry, I am jumping in on this late but don't worry about it. A couple of things to remember. Muscle weighs more than fat so if you are building muscle you can actually gain weight while losing fat which is perfectly o.k. Second, if you have not hydrated as well, your body can actually go into a water retention mode because it thinks it isn't going to get as much water. This can also result in a minor weight gain. So, without knowing more, I would say don't stress about it. The best gauge of your progress (IMHO) is how your clothes fit.
Or how they don't fit!
I'm eager to buy a new wardrobe.
Thanks for reminding me of the true
reason I joined this group and why
I'm doing this.
It is difficult to remember when I'm puffing
up the path. . .when I forget and think the
goal is to get the top of the path, rather
than being on the path itself.

Ladies and gentlemen, I believe someone has shifted his paradigm without grinding the clutch. Excellent!

I can finally report a loss of 3 lbs.
It was much harder without swimming. The bike needs a new chain so no exercise. I'm just working and trying not to eat the junk.
