DISCLAMER: I don't think I'd actually consider purchasing something like this, but the idea hit me so I thought I'd toss it out there.

A while back I bought a set of throat microphones for my motorcycle. They capture sound by resting on your throat and picking up vibrations. It's useful for that activity because you don't have to have a big boom mic in front of your mouth with accessories to filter out wind noise.

Is there something like this for diving communication? I've seen full face mask comm systems, but that keeps your face out of the water and costs a good chunk of $$$. At first glance, it seems like this would let you speak while using a standard reg.

Thoughts? I enjoy diving because no one can talk/call/text me too ... so this is just an idea.

The throat mic is still dependent on you talking normally which would be pretty hard with a reg in your mouth. My kids wanted to modify their phones so they could text under water. Like in "The Abyss".
