Can I just tell you how great it is to hear that? So many times people just post what goes wrong with stuff. My husband got me a 5060 and PT-020 for xmas. (Love him!) So I'm thrilled that someone is really happy with theirs. Can't wait to get it wet.

Hello guys I'm newb in this too.

So basically what is the distance between the slate and lens when you want to do white balancing. I read from somewhere the distance should be from a subject you want to capture on camera and the lens.

I don't think I'll have the patience to do all the editing process after taking pictures lol..

I'm no expert, but I try to cover the frame of the camera with the slate. So that the camera as all slate in the "picture"

You also want to make sure there's no shadows on the slate. I tip mine to the surface just a bit to get full lighting on the slate.
