What light do you have there? Also, can you tell me how wide the tray is?
Light
Looks like they don't make that one anymore. It's a 2k lumen video light. Too bad though, it was only $60 in August.

Here's their page

Tray
The site shows it is ~7" wide. I can measure when I get home if an accurate number is needed.

The D530V from Orcatorch has a ball mount included, but it's not quite as bright as the Nitescuba one we're discussing. It's 1200 lumens, if I recall correctly.

Here are my lights. I'm sure 1 would be sufficient, but 2 give me more options. When packing up, they just pop off my base. Sorry, I couldn't immediately locate my base and case. It's just a simple base about 10" wide and about an inch in depth, just enough to mount the GoPro.

The D530V does have a ball mount, but it's a "one size fits all their lights" kind of thing. On the D530V, there's a 4mm gap and it wiggles and flexes a LOT even after tightening the plastic set screw. I had a friend 3D print a spacer (not shown) and it helps a lot, but it's still not as rigid as I'd like. It's also kind of far back on the light, making it harder to position the front of the light behind the front of the GoPro.

Interesting; mine's got a yellow insert in the ball mount and the fit isn't nearly that sloppy. If you push it all the way forward it's pretty snug on the light head. I have to unscrew the back of the light to put the ball mount on; do you, or can you slide that over the back?

Mine slides over the back end of the light without unscrewing the light. So perhaps your ball mount ring is smaller. Mine has an inside diameter of 29mm. And the body of the D530V is 25.5 mm.

Yep, inside diameter of mine is 27mm.
