Amazing how true the expression "Ignorance is bliss" is. I posted yesterday at 3 PM asking if anyone else was diving this week and was very excited to be going Wednesday. Five minutes later a fellow paramedic texted me asking if I could come in for stand-by coverage. Gave my daughter and wife a kiss and headed to the base.

My thoughts are with those involved as well, both victims and those involved in providing care. What a terrible tragedy!
I worked with a PA who always ran the Boston Marathon and usually came in around 3:45-4 hours. I really hope she wasn't there this year. I've lost touch with her.

Condolences to the families who have lost loved ones. As someone who worked blocks away from the original and second Trade Center attacks...and now the Boston incident....just sadness.
