Am I wasting my time? The light says 20,000 lumen but I figure that's Chinese lumen and equals about 6-8K US lumen. The batteries appear to of pretty good quality with a good amp draw rating so the batteries shouldn't be the weak link. Failures seem to come from leaking buttons on these cheap lights. I was thinking a coating about an 1/8" thick of silicon over the switches would seal them better and still allow them to be pressed.
I'm not serious enough to about videography to spend a few grand on lights, but I would like decent results at the same time. I'm using a GoPro 7 and 11 currently either handheld or mounted to my FFM. The 7 usually stays on my FFM.
What do you think? Worth taking a shot on these lights?
