  1. I'm no longer happy with just any instructor for my certs. I now expect much more than just the minimum requirements;
  2. My geographical knowledge of the USA has increased significantly;
  3. I keep spending large quantities of my income on diving trips to locations I had never heard of previously. As a result of these trips, the missus is no longer happy with local diving - she now demands tropical diving; :11:
  4. The list of locations yet to be visited just keeps growing.
So, what can you blame ScubaBoard for?

for keeping me glued to my computer for posts like these :D

Every piece of gear I own sucks and will kill me if I take it below 2 feet.

the urge to try things i cant afford.

Let's see, there's...
  1. J&J baby shampoo defog (and all-around wonderstuff)
  2. My little pony
  3. My Jet fins
  4. My drysuit
  5. My dry gloves and rings
  6. My DSS backplate and wing
Um, perhaps I should've been more general and just listed "gear choices". :D

Anyway, there's also...
  1. Buoyancy
  2. Trim!
  3. Gas planning
  4. Alternative kicks
  5. Shooting SMBs
  6. Dry suit techniques
Um, I suppose I could've been more general there, too, and just listed "skills". :D

Well, and then there's the dive site information and the occasional buddy, and so on. To put it all succinctly, I can blame ScubaBoard for *me*. Before ScubaBoard, I probably would've just been another diver, but now I'm a constant geyser of information.

Go figure, ScubaBoard turned diver-me into an extension of normal-me!

Being on SB all day instead of working!
