For the dog that has everything here are a few gifts. Really got a laugh out of the frisbee that barks. The blind dog that scubas, another post in here someplace, could use these I bet.
Really had thoughts of posting this one in the DIR section, just for kicks, but figured that someone would turn me in and it would be moved. No need to upset anyone since administration did take care of me a few days ago.

wait... isn't the blind dog that scubas an urban myth???

Here is the post that I was thinking about. http://www.scubaboard.com/t47763.html The dog isn't blind in this one but it does refere to a blind dog further down. Don't have the Guiness Book of World Records but I would say that it is true.

Hmmm... my fault - Because I work in vision science and the very real scuba dog is (partly) of a breed that is used as guide dogs (US: seeing-eye dogs), that got me thinking about wether a blind person could scuba with their guide dog... and then onto strategies that allow blind people to scuba - it's the way what passes for my mind works %^)

The term 'blind dog' is confusing when used to mean a guide (seeing-eye) dog because the first interpretation is of a dog that is blind.

It also reminded me of a couple of jokes (courtesy of UK comedian Jasper Carrott):

"...there were even blind people doing the bungee jump: They seemed to enjoy it, but you should have heard their guide dogs scream...."
"They knew they were getting close to the water because the lead (leash) went slack..."

Cheers,

K.

wicked humor...

next thing you know, a blind person is going to read this and start flaming us. He or she will probably be a PETA member too... so.... what a can of worms....

(ah-one and a two...)

everything might be ok with a dog diving until it was in fresh water and saw a CATFISH swim by...it's all over then. I could see the sight impaired person (politically correct I think) hanging on for life.
I have seen fire hydrants underwater and now I know why they were there.
