I know nothing about scuba cylinders really and have only dove in warm water, but trying to get set up for quarry diving here in Ohio. Losing weight and just got into a 8mm wetsuit. Seller is close to me and wants $300 for four of these HP100s and guarantees they will pass hydro (they are out of hydro now). I would only dive them as single tanks. I mean maybe years in the future as sidemount but who knows on that.
Does this renewal apply to these cylinders?
Do these take weird valves that will be expensive to replace when that time comes? Or if I have to do it immediately? They are set up as twins now but I don't think I will ever dive them that way- not sure though I suppose anything is possible. But he has the plugs so they can be separated and used as singles which is my intent.
Am I just burning my money here or is this an OK buy? Is made in Japan/ASAHI good or bad? Or doesn't matter?
Do these apply???
So people that have tanks like these- do you actually print that stuff out and give it to the hydro people? Or is that silly because everyone knows already???
