I'm looking for a water temp gauge I can use when snorkeling.

I bought a Timex Reef gear watch but I'm disapointed. The digital temp display is very small and gets diplaced when you go into stopwatch mode. Since you're not supposed to work the control buttons in the water it ends up being a little useless. I just got it and I think it's going back.

I've been working the buttons on my Times Indiglo for many years without incident but switching modes this often is just too kludgey and the reef gear watch is over twice the price.

I've poked around but haven't seen a simple wrist worn underwater thermometer, any suggestions?

Thanks,
Pete

You might look at a pet supply store's section for aquarium thermometers - there might be something pretty inexpensive there that you could DIY.

I've seen that one at the LDS. Pretty small, actualy though it was a prop to display watch bands.

I've been watching for that too. I do have a Thermometer, whistle/compass I got at Walmart for less than $5. The thermometer is very small. I have it on the end of the back zip lanyard on my 3mm suit. Better than nothing but not a good solution.

I guess I need to try an actual pool store.

Thanks,
Pete
