just thought i'd post some shots taken this week, utila cays diving has taken us out for several whale shark encounters

There isn't a true "season" for whale sharks around Utila. As far as we know Utila is the only place in the world where there have been documented whale shark sightings in every month of the calendar year (and it happened in the same year in 2008). That being said the sightings are often more frequent in late February through early May, as well as in August and September and even in November though January.

This past week we had 2 great encounters on 2 different days with multiple jumps each time. Some video links below:
