Hi!
Planning a trip to the Visayas midt september for 14 days. Looking for something laid back with nice beaches and great diving. After reading the posts in this forum I cut the options down to 1) Padre Burgos 2) Panglao as a base for Cabilao & Balicasag. 3) Malapasqua. I think we will only go to 2 places, so wich one should i cut out. Are any of the places better weather wise(Sogod Bay seems sheltered). Should we stay overnight at balicasac or is there easy acces from alona beach. How's the vis this time a year???

Thanks for a great forum

not familiar with padre burgos... but panglao is a definite YES based on the others' feedback (and future plans)...

travel will be much easier between panglao and malapascua as there are regular fast ferries from tagbilaran to cebu city...

have a great time!!! despite 2 weeks of rain that drowned all of luzon the visayas was just absolute paradise... just got back from a weekend in dumaguete...

Hi!
I am not sure about the weather in September.
Malapascua in May (about 14 dives): 3 thresher sharks, about 6 white tips, eagle ray, 3 marble rays, mandarinfish, seahorses, several calamari, some very beautiful soft coral in Gato, plenty of macro stuff, some good walls.
Southern Leyte: Napantao is awesome, as are the night dives. Eagle ray, turtle.
