We all know that. The point is that you choose all "warm water resort" type locations with one "token" locale in the U.S.

My vote's for the PNW, I'll take that to include BC. The tropics are nice and I really like NC, but it's not as good as the PNW, IMHO.

My second vote would go to Scapa Flow.
Maybe change the Poll to: What warm water destination would you like to dive.

IMHO and with my limited experience nothing can be compared to the Red Sea. May be Pacific, but I haven't been there.

My vote is for wreck and cave diving also... If money was no object, I'd just go to more remote wreck or cave sites.

Resorts are for vacations with non-diving spouses....

You completely left off North America with the exception of the PNW and Mexico. There is world class diving to be found in Florida (and not just the keys), the Gulf Coast off TX and LA (the Flower Gardens) and California (kelp forests, artificial reefs, etc).

Let's not be so eager to "see the world" that we dis the great diving we have right in our own backyard.

The problem is..... Our shop has gone to Florida twice. The first they were diving in 7-8 foot swells, the second was with a scout group and they spent an entire week in Florida and never got in any salt water. Flower Gardens, I hear, can be the same way and isn't the boat ride rather long? California is nice but still cold. Besides, that is sort of considered a local dive around here. And honestly, if you live in Florida would you really schedule a dive trip to California if the only reason for the trip was the diving?

Sure there are some nice wrecks in North America but does the diving really compare to Bikini Atol or Truk Lagoon? So quit giving me such a hard time and spend your unlimited cash. Sheesh!
