So a couple of things made the dives today memorable. First was my wife almost getting eaten by the Atlantis sub. Yes, the DM told us the sub would be in the water and yes, he told us to stay away from the sub. She got carried away watching a turtle and was oblivious to the sub. He even beeped his horn at her (yes, the sub has a horn) and she still was oblivious. Finally, I swam out and turned her around. You should have seen her face :11: It was hysterical.

Not a great shot, lots of backscatter, but still fun.

The next thing was that Katherine's (also on this board) camera went dead stick on her during the first dive so she was without on the second. Right away when we hit the reef, we found a beautiful moray that was identified as a Dragon Moray. As it turns out they're not that common. So I want to thank Katherine for her sacrifice, because I'm sure that we would not have seen this guy otherwise.

Great shot of the Dragon Moray. I’ve always wanted to find one.

awesome pictures, and the story was well told, and then some, bubba

Maurie (glad you survived) and Corby,
It was fantastic diving with you all and hearing about all the dive meccas you have visited. I wish we could have showcased our sites with a little better viz, but hey we can't always control that! Besides I notice photographers with a stash of lenses like you had can always adapt and find happiness. Thanks for sharing that great shot of the dragon moray. I cannot believe we spotted three. Lonnie,a video pro looked a little incredulous when I told him on the boat! He said "where? maybe I will have to get back in" I know the feeling since I had discharged my battery. Thanks for taking time out of your vacation to post your images. Say hello to Texas for me!
