PS I know it’s half way through 2018 and we’re neck deep in the digital era but is it too much to ask to get a physical copy of the manual when buying a thousand dollar piece of electronics?

Wow. About 80 pages (40 sheets of paper) when printed out. Why can't you print this at home? Not sure why they need to cut down 20 trees each year to make your request come true. Even cars are coming out with digital manuals now.

I like the pdf version better, allows you to search for what you want.

would like an auto brightness setting.
Have to turn it down during the night.
then I sometimes hit the wrong button on the very sunny dive boat and it's too dim to see anything and have to keep pressing the button till I can see the screen again.
