We had the best dives since January last weekend. Today we endured wind early in the morning and rough seas just so we could dive in surge and sand scatter. Halfway Reef wasn't even halfway as nice as last weekend. Golf Ball Reef was even worse. We made the most of it but my haul of images today pales in comparison to last time.

The water had also cooled a bit. We had 49° on the first dive and 50° at GBR.

I found two Hermissenda opalescens duking it out while laying eggs.

Great photos. So, what photo equipment are you using for this? Great macro shots.
Thank you for sharing.

We have much warmer waters along the East Coast. Do consider visiting Florida. You probably know about the Blue Heron Bridge in Palm Beach, right?

I have a Nikon D3x in a Subal housing. I used a 105mm lens with a Nikon 5T diopter yesterday but it really doesn't like dirty water. Last week I used my 60 and had better luck.

I've dived warm water in Cozumel, Hawaii and the Philippines but really prefer places where I wear a drysuit.
