The whole premise of this thread is kind of silly. After all, there are only one or two people on the entire planet who are qualified to serve as the final arbiter of what is DIR. As far as I can tell, neither has chimed in. In reality, there is no such thing as a DIR diver - only DIR dives.
 
Strange, all I did today was ask a philosophical question and my "credentials" are being questioned. For questioning the boundaries of what is or is not a DIR diver, I may be corrupting DIR and imposing my own agenda upon it. Finally, in the end it is all silliness and even if it wasn't, no amount of training or informed opinion on anything DIR is welcome from any level DIR diver since only JJ's word matters and there are no DIR divers... or mythical DIR lemmings... just DIR dives. Got it.
