Going this weekend. Can't wait. Everyone I have talked to that has seen it has said it is great!

I did. It's great!!!!! Although difficult for both believers and non - believers.
Worth seeing anyway... But don't take kids with you - it's not really a family movie.

We had NDR threads on the "Return of the King" and I think this one had a bigger first day. As long as it does not devolve into to a religious debate (My God's bigger than your God) then it can stay. But you can be sure that we will be watching for that and will be splitting off inappropriate behaviour as we see it arise.

BTW, I hope to be seeing it tonight with my church. Depends on how the wife feels when she wakes up.

tritto....

I had hoped there would be one safe haven....

:overlord: we live in a post 9/11 world there are no safe havens left but the mind and they are probably already working on that one :overlord:

It was amazing, although hard to watch at points.

Let me put it this way, I went with church friends, and we all just kinda decided to go home afterward rather then getting together and discussing like we'd planned. Just a lot to let sink in.

I saw it on Wednesday, first showing at the local theater. There were many people crying in the theater throughout the movie. Extremely moving, exceptionally well made, very graphic. I dont recommend it for children. To get a real feel for what Jesus went thru in his last twelve hours, I believe its a must see.
