Omega Man & I am Legend are both based on a short story called I am Legend. The story is pretty good, but the ending sucks.

I just heard a review of the movie on NPR. They said Will Smith was excellent, but the movie sucked.

Gene Shalit on The Today Show gave basically the same review. It's the only film playing in our theater, but I'm going to skip it in favor of some indies on DVD.

That's disappointing.

I believe that Wil is an excellent actor and has made some great role choices. Sorry to hear that the movies sucks though, I'm looking forward to seeing it.

Hm... for Omega Man, it was the opposite ... the movie was great, but Charlton Heston sucked. I loved the leather jacket with the raised middle finger on the back.

i was a young'n when i saw The Omega Man.. and back then.. i thought it was cool

I think the new "Legend" is a good movie. Much better than Omega man. Special effects were good outside of the deer, that was a bit much. But Will Smith is good as usual and so is hte movie.

Critics suck, why even listen to them?
