How does the CM handle being towed by a scooter? Seems like the tow cord might pull up on it?

I cannot tell you anything specific to the CM and the OP may be able to answer you but as I am using a front mounted RB (won't tell the name ), I haven't found any problem with a scooter.
The thing I found, in appearance, different with the CM is that it looks longer than my unit as in the CM, the CL are above the canister. But I am just talking for the sake of talking

So my first dives in Eagle's Nest cave with a dpv there was no issue. Then I spent a week diving it in Bonaire with the scooter and it was a bit of a pain. I think a D-Ring needs to be added to the lower section some where, but I'm still experimenting.

I think my issue was a slightly underweight scooter for travel in salt water.

May I ask where the canister lays on your body. Middle of the belly or at the waist? Thanks

Canister is just above belly button

The fact that the cells are just outside the canister doesn't create too much problem with condensation?

Never been a problem. I don't imagine it's much different than the classic Optima. No issue with 1000+ hours on that unit.

There are also three things I cannot really picture
1- the water trap tube(s?)
2- the "premix tube": it is used for having the function of the metal rod in other canisters (better use of the lime) or it is related to the gas analysis?
3-4 cells: 3 for the controler-display ans one for the HUD?
