Connoisseur's reg, indeed! Atomic disappoints me on the support front. Like Scubapro. Like Huish.
I remain truly frustrated.
Want to buy me some parts and a few kits? I don’t need anything but would like to see what would happen.I have no problem ordering parts or kits from both at all, none!! At the worst, some parts/kits may not be available for a short time, a month or so, but they eventually come in with no issues.
It must be the US and its MAGA that screwed things up for you guys. Enjoy the MAGA state!!
Why? Not having the parts or something else?
Outside of their center balanced design, the d420 and the TFX have another thing in common: a lack of commitment from their manufacturers. Why did ScubaPro kill further development and not correct the flaws in the d420? Why, after the big buildup is Atomic allowing the TFX to fall on its face?Connoisseur's reg, indeed! Covid did in the 420, coupled with the uncommon look, a new world wide disease (tariffs) is probably not helping the TFX coupled with a different look, a design while far better than common looking stuff requires a sentient being with opposable thumbs to properly maintain and an incredibly hi price to start…I have noticed price drops on the bay for the second alone and the complete set up, still high though.Outside of their center balanced design, the d420 and the TFX have another thing in common: a lack of commitment from their manufacturers. Maybe the added skills required to build a second stage more complicated than a tube and a plug is too much for them. Atomic has been sitting on its butt with the same exact second stage for years. They even stumble when it comes down to their engineers modernizing their own brilliant CB design.
Let's forget about titanium and connoisseurs and exorbitant price tags and produce a super regulator for us peasants.
