I'm still kind of curious to how/why the father/son team died on that German sub.

Hantzu

Its all in the book and its relatively simple. Diving deep air, narc'd out of their skulls, on a penetration dive without proper support. And only after they pushed each other into making the dive in the first place.

It's really the "what not to do in diving" book.

one up off of Amazon.com . Good book. If you liked that book, Deep Descent is another good read.

Yes, the Last dive is a good book and currently am reading the deep descent, it's good too.

Beside these 2 books, is there any more good book to recommend :)

I liked "Fatal Depth" by Joe Haberstroh and "Stars Beneath the Sea" by Trevor Norton. "Down Time" edited by Ed, Casey and Jim Kittrell is pretty good too.

I also go through quite a few books about submarines and salvage.

Natasha started a thread quite a while back that had some very good recommendations in it. Check it out for several good ideas.

Have I got a book for you!

Thanks Cave diver, will check out that thread :)

Hopefully these books will quench my "thirst" for the time being
(IT's monsoon now and no more diving til Mar next year ;-0 )

I finally got my copy of the book and have read the first couple of chapters. So far, I think it is a great book. Alot of history behind how divers have received the knowledge we now have and hopefully use to make our dives as safe as they can be.

Looking forward to the rest of the book.
