I just picked up the book today and love it. I read about 60 pages today and can't put it down. I like that it was written by a diver. Lots of history on equipment and some of the pioneers of diving. I highly recommend it.

I agree. I read Last Dive first and then Shadow Diver. I enjoyed both. When you finish Last Dive, start on Shadow Diver. It's equally interesting ... not written by a diver but you wouldn't know it. Next up, Deep Descent.

FYI, there's a thread on Shadow:

I'll put in my thoughts on the subject and agree with everyone else. I've read all the "Andrea Doria" books, The Last Dive and Shadow Divers. Of those I would be Shadow Divers at the top, followed by The Last Dive.

I do enjoy all 3 books and I'm re-reading shadow divers again now.

I must agree with this. I am currently reading Neutral Buoyancy and found it a slow start but it seems to picking up somewhat.

I've read them all too, and prefer "Shadow Divers" also. Would read all of them though.

don't forget about Dark Descent... great book on the Empress of Ireland.
