Deep Eddys are pretty similar to jets in terms of propulsion but are neutral, they're a natural solution for someone who likes jets but is foot heavy in a wetsuit. I switched from jets for that exact reason, and I dive wet SM in Mexican caves.
Did you ever try any trimming solutions with weights that work?

No, I haven't. For both BM and SM, I've moved tanks around a bit, but for me the biggest impact on trim has been using different fins. In my case I have pretty muscular legs so I tend to be a little foot-heavy. I've used jets, Mares avanti quattros, and Eddys, and I tried something else once, maybe they were dive rite paddles. The eddys work the best for me. I'm about to get new boots which will change things once again, I'm afraid.
