These wings are kind of being sold as a new Idea when it is really a kick back to 10 years ago. Look at that wing and then go to this old throw back.

Now that's a nice puddle jumper. I see these going on eBay for dirt cheap all the time. I still like my Pioneer wing way too much though.

I'm looking for a light back inflation bc to use in holidays and for my "light" dives at home.
Until now the only one I found matching those requirements is the Transpac 2 w travel wing.
Any suggestions ?

TPII & Travel wing.... few setups pack lighter than that and give you great performance.

Though, if you're into BP/Wing thing, I'm sure, it would work well too.

Nice little inexpensive BC, $220 online. Well made, back inflate, 35 lb lift, weighs 4lbs, folds small and is very adjustable. It does have a somewhat strange weight system however. It has 2 rear mounted pockets that can be dropped if needs be. Seems like they are rated at about 30 lbs but I find more than 8 starts to cause a trim problem for me. I am wearing the back weights ONLY(I don't need more than 4-6 lbs )but if I go any heavier I start to turtle. The use of a weight belt along with them should do nicely if you need more weight than the 6-8lbs. Your results may vary. I really like mine.

I agree the Transpak II is perfect for the job, and with another bladder you can use it for just about any diving you want.

Another BC that works well is the Zeagle with the 35lbs. bladder, either as Scout (not weitht-integrated) or Escape (either with pull-out weight pouches or ripcord). Aside from the smaller bladder (a 24lbs. is also available) they're made from 420 denier rather than the Ranger/Tech 1050. So they weight considerably less and fold much smaller. MSRP for those is around $300 to $400, but you should find them for less.

I suggest a Halcyon Pioneer. If you get the 18 lb wing, great. If not, try the 27.

I use my Pioneer 18 for all Carribean and warm water dives. I need no weight with a 3mm full suit and a SS Backplate.

The unit folds up nicely, particularly if you detach the wing first.

If you don't want a BP&W, the TPII is nice.

Northeastwrecks has the right idea.

A Halcyon Pioneer setup is the way to go.

I don't think they make the 18lbs wing anymore. I have the 27lbs wing and it's great.
