I have to say the Mares Jubilee seems to be the nicest light weight back-inflate I ahve looked at recently. I really liked the weight integration system and it folds nearly flat. I am considering getting one for travel, but then again I may just get an aluminum BP and a travel wing.

What would be the best , durable, LIGHTWEIGHT back Inflate BCD system on the market now ??

Looking at Zeagle Scout and Zeagle Escape right now.

Also waiting for the blackmarket $375 Brand New Halcyon 27lbs Pioneer system .... hehehe (finger crossing)

With a Pioneer wing, and a Fred T BP (or similar), you can get very close to that $375.00.

It doesn't get much more lightweight than a BP and wings. SS BP weighs about 6 lbs, Al BP is about 1-2 lbs. Wing is, I'm guessing, 1-2 lbs. STA varies depending on manufacturer. And the setup is VERY compact. I can get 2 complete BP/wing rigs, along with fins, cannister lights, and wetsuits in one large duffel suitcase.

You're right the wing does look rather large to have only 22# of lift. If they could make it more compact, it would work rather nice for single tank dives. What's the MSRP on it?

Here is the link to the Northern diver website. It shows it has 20 kg of lift which is right at 45lbs of lift.

the kilo conversion would make much more sense for it's size. Even still, I think 45# is a little much for a basic single tank "puddle jumper" as UP likes to call it.

AUL aluminum backplate, webbbing, with an Xwing on the way from Bob3 to finish it off. I added two new tank bands to the rig, and will have it all together by the end of next week. I expect great things from this rig.

the buddy travelwing is set up exactly the same way. wing mated to traditional back pack, except that the wing has just ~15kg lift. the buddy rig also has provision for independent air bottle.
