As opposed to now, where the Grand Traverse isn't a big deal, and trained cave divers are croaking ever year doing dives that aren't that big of a deal?
I've never been to the well casing either, doubt I ever will....but I'm content with that.
2 people who are FULL CAVE and dive cave all of twice a year damn near died at JB a few weeks ago because of this go to fast thinking.
Please tell the story in full.
I've helped install a few, I don't see how one a couple grand back in a cave would be more interesting?

As a newly fledged Full Cave Diver (a whopping 2 dives outside of my training), I have, by the guidance of my instructor & some common sense, come to realize that I am nowhere near ready to do the "big boy" dives. Do I want to eventually do some of them? Sure I do, but I know in my mind's eye, I need to gain experience first,... lots & lots of experience. To be honest, at this point I am quite content to putter around & learn the nuances of the various systems I've been in, from the beginning, inward & the way back out. Yes, I've learned some about them in my training, but I want to know those caves without a question. I also need to get into much better shape & vastly improve my air consumption before I attempt anything of that magnitude. I, in no way want to jeopardize my safety, it is not worth the possible consequences. I hope to one day be in a position where I can accomplish a more advanced dive, but for now, being a novice, I will conduct novice level dives.
