First, let me say, it was very, very expensive and worth every penny . After a long and arduous search I have come to possess my Grail regulator. A true CE marked big valve 156. Yes, it has the 109 knob and smooth chrome cover (which I prefer) but the body is satin chrome with the all important (to me) CE which indicates the full size 30mm exhaust valve like the G250.

I have it rigged with my equally nice 109 upgraded to BA specifications. The hoses are Miflex, set up for the now fashionable "streamlined" primary donate, 40 inches primary with angle swivel, 22 inches for the secondary. The first stage is a new Mark V "type" complete with the Scubapro yoke assembly and there is also a DIN Mark V first if needed. The SPG is a genuine Scubapro 0-3500 psi black face with the original rubber boot and yes it is brass and glass :).

I stupidly let one of these CE satin 156 slip away some many years back when I did not realize that they had the larger exhaust valve of the G250 and a slightly improved exhaust tee. Just as well because this one is nicer and comes from a known source of Scubapro expetise .

Thanks, just had to brag some. Yes, I did put three dives on it in Bonaire a few days ago and intend many more.

Regulator porn.
All that chrome, you will go blind.

Very nice, what a beauty!!
Love the 152 red diaphragm. Is the exhaust valve also red?

No the exhaust valve is black as was the diaphragm. I had in my spares the red one so did a swap out and put the black one away for a rainy day.

This is it for me, I will buy/beg/harangue no more regulators. No more, no more, no more -------. But this quest is now complete. And since it belonged to a friend it is even the better for that.

Well, I do have this thing for titanium, I will think no more of it!

Try to get your hands on an MK11T. Simple, lightweight, and titanium. I love mine.

Purdy regs, by the way.

That's not bragging, that's a service to SCUBA culture by sharing appreciation for regulator history.

I am thrilled to see that in the modern world of titanium regs, floating orifices, black-tech PVD coating, killer-priced high performance regs made overseas to the price of a service kit... many of us still value an iconic reg like the 109/156. Not only because it looks good, but because we know it is well made and performs. And yes, I want one...

You think so? Good luck with that.
Resistance is futile.
