Simple question or loaded question?

I don't see how it could be loaded since I did not know the answer.

But, in the future if I have a question, I'll pick up the phone, less messy.

I really have no intention of framing any counter productive questions in here---if it bother you all, it bothers me and I won't do it again. I hereby ban myself from this forum.....whoever thinks the original question was a troll, it was not.

do it easy:
If you are going to prohibit trolling in the DIR forum, then you might as well prohibit troll feeding- they go hand in hand. :D

Indeed.

DIR Explorers is a joke. I refuse to go there anymore as do some others that I know.

rebreatherworld.com has address 69.72.250.174
direxplorers.com has address 69.72.250.170

nadwidny:
Despite your limited training with GUE you're doing a much better job keeping things on track than the gaggle that runs DIR Explorers.
I really don't understand these statements. DIRX is DIR friendly, no-trolling place where you can find like-minded divers and valuable opinions. Several GUE instructors contribute there, WKPP and EKPP people post also. I see no reason for calling such site "a joke".

Best regards,
Emir

Maybe, but I am guessing that Lamont is closer to the truth than not about UP and SB.
No ... Andy's right, in this case ... it had nothing to do with this forum.

Lamont makes a good point in general, though ... I think a lot of people who had valuable insight to contribute have stopped posting here because the signal-to-noise ratio got too high ... it just wasn't a good use of their time. That's not unique to this forum, however ... a lot of people who originally came to ScubaBoard to discuss diving have stopped posting here as the NDR type posts and trolls have become dominant.

It's a Darwinian thing ...

And yet we continue to grow by leaps and bounds and attract those wishing to discuss diving. In fact one of the most common comments is just how much information we have here.

The signal to noise ratio here is simply excellent and especially so in this forum. Unfortunately, quite often when people disagree, it is quite common for either of them to consider the other one as just creating "noise". It's a fairly normal human reaction, to dismiss those who do not agree with us but it has little to do with reality. We have tried to create an atmosphere of tolerance and also provide special areas where we offer special protection for the intolerance of others.

LOL...If thats what you think it is, then my apologies.

Really, I think it is a joke too.

There's no need for apologies, I'm not connected with people that run DIRX. It's just my opinion.

What difference do you see between DIRX and this forum? Are the questions posted here more serious? Do the contributing divers here have more knowledge on DIR subjects? AFAIK the only GUE instructor that posted here recently was Clare and she runs DIRX.

Jeff, I usually don't take you too seriously but some statements require some arguments.
