Its obvious that you have a wealth of knowledge and experience to share with others. Why can't you do that in a more constructive manner?

Of course, you are completely entitled to your opinion and I respect your right fully.

However, you have cast a fairly broad net in accusing us "guys" of being obnoxious and elitist. I feel confident that many of the people who were involved in the literally hunderds of hours it took setting up the site do not deserve that label.

I am terribly sorry if you feel slighted. The site was not set up to make inexperienced divers feel less worthy or less deserving.

Quite the opposite.

Many of us were looking for a place in which we could focus almost exclusively on diving and learning to become better divers without any distractions. I am not sure what part of your experience on our site you found distasteful, but I certainly do apologize for whatever negative elements you found offensive.

I am not a moderator here so I have no idea if the mention of our site or our efforts is an offense of any magnitude. Considering that a significant number of ScubaBoard members and a handful of ScubaBoard moderators are active members on our site, I tend to think it is not. I am not sure why the notion that mentioning our site is a "thread pulling offense" was included in your post, but as I feel confident that such is not the case, I would sincerely appreciate it if you would not suggest that our name is associated with any form of behavior that, according to rules or the ScubaBoard TOS, would necessitate pulling a post or a thread.

Again, I sincerely apologize if we have collectively done something to offend you personally. Feel free to contact me offline to discuss this further.

.. that now that there is the deco stop, I hope you tech divers, won't abandon the SB. You do make a valuable contribution.

Maybe there can be a truce. Tech divers won't shred rec divers on the SB and the rec divers and jello eaters won't screw up the deco stop.
