I ran across this as I was looking at dive stuff on you tube. Never heard of it and couldnt find anything when I searched SB. Has anyone used this set up or know anyone that has? This looks like the ticket to me , just wanted to get some thoughts on its quality and safety from anyone thats been around their products.thanks all

I'm just as big a "Gear Geek" as anyone but....

Honestly what problem does this system solve? I really don't have that much difficulty moving my BC from one tank to the next. Regarding my Pony Bottle, I use the "Pony Tamer" system which allows me to quickly move my AL30 Pony between my two main tanks just fine.

Now what potential problem(s) does it introduce?

1. I see an additional point of failure it the track & lock pin mech getting fouled.

2. If you have an issue with one of your tanks, say a valve failure, then you can't just borrow a buddy's tank or grab a rental. Nope, you now need to move the rail system to the loaner tank.

3. If you want to loan a tank to a buddy please be so kind as to remove the rail system so it doesn't damage his Tank Strap.

4. Let's say it somehow comes loose underwater (impossible I know but just play along), how many buddies would be able to get you re-attached?

I'm sure others will be able to add to the list.

Thanks for your thoughts. I share much the same. Alot of the problems you brought up is what I wanted to ask about, mainly failure points. It does seem really cool with me, but at the same time , the more complex something is , seems the more that can go wrong.

I use the Zeagle Pony Bottle Band Kit. It securely mounts the pony to your main tank and it is easy to swap out main tanks because the pony stays attached to your BC straps. It's a very solid connection. I can pick up my whole setup (119 CF steel tank, BC, and Reg) by my pony bottle when it's attached with the Zeagle straps.
