I just don't log dives
After the last several years of trying all sorts of different dive ops on the east coast north of the keys, I find myself staying more and more with Pompano Dive Center (I dive pretty much exclusively tech / trimix.) I'm not in any way employed by nor have any financial relation with them but I do know that the word on the street is that they were not that good some years ago and I do want to say that if that is the case they have certainly matured. Their boats are in good shape, never crowded, the captains are very professional in finding wrecks and knowing how far up stream to hot drop even for very deep wrecks, they track everyone's RT and deco and send a safety divers with extra gas to check on people. DM's are tech divers; the list goes on. A lot of other operations don't come close to this. One boat I was on recently was half sunk, another had no idea how long divers' RT's were, etc. I just want to offer an independent opinion, and also solicit opinions from other divers on their experiences. ---------- Dana, Naples FL
