Actually, what happened to me was more realted to my advice to you as to where to set your traps. Several years ago a buddy and I both got MA student commercial licenes (25 pots each). After we begged and borrowed the cash to get 50 rigged traps we made the mistake of setting ALOT of them near commerical fisherman traps - since we wanted to fish in "prime" spots. Within a week, a ton of our traps were cut. We retrieved some them by free-diving, but, most were lost. It sucked.

do you need to put your bouys with the traps or can ya just use the traps on there own i figure if no one knows where they are they cant mess with em??
