Just want to say thanks to everyone for their input about where to stay in Taveuni. I have to say that I am really impressed with the friendliness of the people in the South Pacific. I spoke or emailed to a couple of different resorts and everyone was very helpful.
In the end, while waiting to hear from different places, I got distracted by Tonga. So we are now booked for a short stay at Beqa Lagoon Resort to start our trip. Then we fly to Tonga- only an hour and a half flight- to spend a week at Mounu Island Resort. (the beach there looks lovely!)
We will keep our fingers crossed that we get good weather for fantastic diving in both places and wonderful snorkeling with the whales! Also, we would just love some hang out on the beach time too!
Will try to post a review when we return after the summer!
