I recently got a pretty good deal on some tanks from Dive Right in Scuba up in Plainfield, IL. Before I bought them, I talked with the tech from my LDS, and he said if I could get a better deal on tanks, grab it because they don't make any money on tanks anyways. So I picked them up from DRIS, and when I took them to my LDS for the first Nitrox fill, they wouldn't do it because it had a different type of O2 service tag on it (it had a PSI O2 clean sticker, and not a PADI sticker).
Long story short, Mike and Rob spent an annoying amount of time convincing the LDS that these tanks were actually O2 clean, and it was okay to fill them. And yes, I was finally able to get my fills. I've never had any problems like this with my LDS before, BTW.
Thanks Guys!
Tom
PS, it was a really good deal on tanks. Call up Mike and ask him for a good deal, you won't be disappointed!
