I used both the Lonely Planet book and Susan's book when I was down there. I find that they are each useful in different ways. I found the LP book to be useful for trying to identify interesting dives to do (although they are all pretty interesting). BSDME was more useful for logistics and determining entries.
The LP book also has good pictures, which helped with some fish ID on some of the more interesting critters (although the Reef Fish ID book was also invaluable).
