Hi Charia!

I was supposed to dive King Cruiser on a 3 dive day (Anenomea Reef, Shark Point and King Cruiser). But the dive boat did not have the same understanding. We did the two dives (Reef and Point) and them headed back. Dive the World refunded me for the lost dive. It was my last day od diving (I had to fly to BKK the next day). Oh well, maybe I'll make it back there again some day....

I did those 3 dives last winter. As for the King Cruiser, I've never seen so many lionfish in one place before. It's also covered in scorpion fish too. I've heard the vis is sketchy sometimes but we were able to see the ship from the surface. Anenome Reef is also very high on my list along with Bida Nai and Bida Nok.

Thailand's West Coast including Phuket have their best weather in the winter and now it is low season there with the monsoon season upon them before long, so you might be going at the wrong time.

Here is a good page on Thailand's monsoon seasons

The weather on the East Side of Thailand is best for the time of your trip, but Pattaya can be a bit pricey and seedy, why not try Koh Tao?
Trains in Thailand are cheap and you can take one from BKK to Surat Thani then take the ferry to Koh Tao.
