We usually hit up the Sonic on the way back home. Sometimes we bring some sandwiches in a cooler.

Tried Jungle Burger on my way out today. Nothing too special, but for the price, portions were large and service was great.

I used to always end up at Los Hermanos on the way back to Big-D. Years ago the food there was pretty good, but was decidedly sub par the last time I was there. Probably need to check-out some of the other spots around town.

Lately a typical dive weekend for me would start off with CSSP on Saturday, then spend the night with relatives in Athens and dive ASP on Sunday. My favorite post dive spot in Athens is El San Luis - really good Mexican with big portions.

Anyone know of a KFC or Popeye's reasonably close to the park? Or maybe some type of BBQ place? I ask because our club is heading up there next weekend and we want to buy the "entree" portion for the club. When we dive at one of our local places, we usually buy a large quantity of chicken from either KFC or Popeye's and the members bring a side/dessert.

You might try Cole Mountain Restaurant and Catering , they have GREAT food.

Thanks, ZzzKing!

I was hoping there would be a Popeye's closer, as I like them much better than KFC.

We are looking forward to diving CSSP. Several of us have been to Athens, but not here. Still debating on whether or not to bother with a wetsuit.
