Hey all, I'm in town for a couple weeks on the boat I work on. Was just wondering if anyone knew of any cool places to go or wanted to hang out. I've been in Florida for a couple years and just came out to the west coast a couple weeks ago. Would love to meet some of the other coast divers.

My dive gear is on it's way, should be here in about a week.

Check out Divebums.com.

The list server there is a great way to get to know SD divers.

Where are you in San Diego?

You can find new buddies just about any weekend morning at La Jolla Shores. Get there early to get a parkingplace, tnough.

I suggest the SD Zoo, Sea World(even-though I haven't been for about 10 years) and the Scripps Institute Aquarium. Are you looking for more night life stuff or fun stuff to do during the day? There's a lot from SD on scubaboard so I'm sure you'll get lots of suggestions. Balboa Park is an amazing area for museums and gardens with lots of beautiful structures. Days worth of stuff to see out there.

The Adams street fair is this weekend. Official Adams Avenue Street Fair Website Free live music and other entertainment. Pacific Beach is the prime bar hopping location for the under 30 crowd, The Gaslamp quarter is more for 30+. Visability is supposed to be really good right now ( I'll know for sure after tonight) so do a dive at La Jolla Cove. It's a game preserve with lots of fish to see.

Dove last night and water was still good... diving tomorrow night to go look for bugs...

I am always up for diving and showing new divers around... send me a PM and we can see about getting into the water. San Diego really is an incredible place to dive.

BEER WENCH .... IS THAT YOU ????? :hugs:

Where the heck have you been, Kristy ? When do you wanna go diving ?

Ha, swim over to Catalina for some real diving!

Seriously (as if I weren't), there are lots of great divers in San Diego, not to mention things to see and do. Take in the wrecks (Yukon, Ruby E) while you are there, dive La Jolla Shores and see if you can find more life than I saw two weekends ago, hit Pt. Loma for nudies and the like. Oh, you mean you want something other than diving? I didn't know there was anything else!
