Don't want to hijack the thread, but been there, done that, as you have!

All the best in your recovery... Hope it's the last one!

CBulla:
I made my first pool dive since shoulder rebuild #4 back in October.. the dive was 2 weekends ago and I found I need to make some comfort adjustments for the new scar tissue on my shoulder and adjust the wing a little. I also learned that a steel 72 with no weight belt was more negative than an AL 80 with a weight belt! ZZIIPP to the bottom!! It was awesome to be underwater again.

Last weekend was my first dive with my Cressi Matrix mask that I got for Christmas. Let me tell you that this things rocks. I was like a little kid at Chrsitmas time.

Did my first open water dives over the weekend. That was a rush!

Saw my first shark (snoozing nurse)
Dove with my first stingray
Had a close encouter with my first triggerfish
And got seasick for the first time... (saltwater is not good for the stomach)

LOL You should talk to ScubaJedi....... I bought him the same mask and he's absolutely in love with it.

Which leads me to my most recent "first"....... first dive with the boyfriend, ScubaJedi! He's done with class and pool and awaiting checkouts, so we decided to get in a pool session or two to keep fresh..... it's also good practice for me to do the same skills along with him. When it comes to mask clearing, though, WOW!! I have never seen a faster or more efficient mask clear than his!! Off with the mask, takes a few breaths, places mask on the head and seemingly by itself all the water spontaneously drains out of it!

We had a blast 'diving' in the pool together........ he's really not bad at all for a newbie diver! He's more "together" than a few fully-certified divers I've seen....... (sure I may be biased though)

Got my 100th dive and and deepest dive too (1 foot deeper than my dive buddy/husband which i just have to rub in a little bit cause going deep is really HIS thing)! :eyebrow:

Daryl Morse:
Last weekend dove for the first time with a bp/w, which was also my deepest dive so far, at 119 fsw. Also dove for the first time with a sling bottle, which was 40 cf.

The weekend after next, if all goes according to plan, will be my first dive with nitrox.
As per the plan, last weekend, I did my first nitrox dives. We did gas switching (32/40 on the first dive and 36/40 on the second) and the dives were my first with a hogarthian hose configuration.

"If all goes according to plan"
Memorial day weekend, I'll have my first boat dive, my first ocean dive, my first reef dive, my first night dive, my first wreck dive, my first dive past 60 ft, my first nitrox dive, and my first time to the Keys :D

I bought a Oceanmaster mask when I took my cert classes last year and even though I like it, I to am in love with my Matrix. I was totally surprised when I intentionally flooded it and cleared it a lot easier (read no handed). This thing is sweet. :07: I think I was more excited about using the mask for the first time then I was when I got my certs done.
