Tell me about Taveuni

I:m off to Taveuni for five dive days in late September. Now I just have to wait! Help me out, please. Tell me about your experiences on Taveuni, Fiji, and inspire me to survive the coming months.

Where are you staying on Taveuni? We'll be there in mid-August (1st time visitors).

Just went to a travel seminar on Taveuni, it looks pretty amazing. Post a trip report when you get back! Here's some group trip photos from my LDS trip there in 2006. They have another trip planned for Sept, wish I was going on it!

We:ll be staying at the Taveuni Island Resort and Spa. They tell me it:s nice. I would have been happy with more modest accomodation, but it:s my wife:s turn to pick.

I hear Taveuni Island Resort is a fabulous place! We were looking for more modest accommodations so we're staying at the Coconut Grove Beachfront Cottages. We are really looking forward to the trip.

does anyone know how Taveuni is supposed to compare to other popular Fiji sites like Beqa, or mainland?
