Telcel or Movistar - where to buy SIM

Heading to Coz this week (7 days of no wife, no kids - dive, eat, sleep & repeat) and plan on buying a Mexican SIM to avoid abusive roaming charges.

Any recommendations as to which is better Telcel or Movistar?

I've got a layover in Cancun - am I better to buy the SIM at the airport or is there a good spot in Cozumel to buy one?

I did movistar in Cozumel, telcel in puerto Vallarta. In my experience, get the sim wherever you can find one, it's not always as easy to find an actual sim as I though. Refills are a cakewalk. Also, if you're on an iPhone 4, it's more difficult due to the micro sim.

I spent like $20 us and sprang for an Amigo phone at Mega. I could keep getting the wifi and all on my sprint phone, but had something to text and phone local.

Oxxo stores sell TelCel SIMs. Cancun and Cozumel have different local calling areas so it can be beswt to buy a SIM in the area where you'll use it most.
